Auld Lang Syne
I never liked that song. Then I found out what the lyrics meant in Celtic Studies last year. Now I love it. So For Auld Lang Syne, and to the year to come. Cheers! *I am literally lifting my glass of champagne to all of you out there.*
A Lily/Giant Squid New Year's Drabble
James’ spy network (AKA Peter) had informed him that Lily returned to Hogwarts early. James Potter was no fool; he knew Lily couldn’t bear to spend New Year’s away from her precious Giant Squid. So he found himself outside in sub-zero temperature, spying on the two.
“I didn’t come back for us to fight,” Lily was saying. “I’m sorry I couldn’t be with you at Christmas. You haven’t introduced me to your family, either, so don’t start with the guilt trip.”
Alfred said something James couldn’t hear.
“You’re right,” Lily said. “Next year will be different.”
They kissed.
James glowered.
