The British navy was combing the streets; he could hear their boots bounce off the cobblestone beside him.
The docks were off-limit because Jocard was being completely unreasonable about the money he claimed Jack owed him.
He’d offended just about every whore in the port and even the bars were a bad idea, since the Sisters of the Chattering Order of St. Beryl were currently drinking the town dry.
Then he saw it, the answer to his prayers.
Jack Sparrow took a swig of rum and tried to come up with a plan to get himself out of this mess.
