And I'd type the rest of the words to Jack Skellington's song, except I suspect the lyrics I sing aren't quite the same as the official ones.
But basically, I wrote fanfic. Okay, just a drabble. But still, it's a minor miracle.

Will’s last shore leave was different. There was still worship in his eyes, but Elizabeth couldn’t ignore his youthful appearance. Once, he hurt her, moving too fast. He’d slowed down, apologizing, but the hurt wasn’t just physically.
Ever since, she couldn’t help but count the grey hairs, feel her arthritic fingers, curse her wrinkling skin.
She was growing old. Will wouldn’t. She worried now what would happen when she died. What was one day every ten years if he had no one to spend it with?
It was almost five months before Elizabeth remembered that she had missed her monthlies.
