traceria, who wanted a cute Lily/James/Harry moment. I'm still taking requests, by the way, if you want me to write you a drabble.

Lily was shrieking, but what disturbed James was how she didn’t react when he came barreling into the living room, wand drawn.
“What’s wrong?” he demanded (Death Eaters didn’t appear to be attacking).
“Harry took his first step!” Once the explanation was out, she turned her attention back to more important things; her infant son’s wobbly and hesitant steps. “Come to Mama, Harry!”
James abandoned his wand, falling to his knees beside Lily. There were some things in life that were more important than anything else, and this was one of them.
“C’mon, Harry. Show Daddy!”
Harry took a step.
